Tetanus Antitoxin Injection for Animals

Tetanus Antitoxin Injection is used to prevent and treat tetanus in livestock.
  • Tetanus Antitoxin confers immediate passive immunity lasting about 7 to 14 days. 
    1500 units administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly is the recommended dose for prevention. 
    Large doses of Tetanus Antitoxin may provide beneficial response in animals already infected with tetanus, but success of treatment is not assured. For treatment, administer 10,000 to 50,000 units to horses and cattle, 3,000 to 15,000 units to sheep and swine.

    [Main Ingredients and Content]
    This product contains tetanus antitoxin. Not less than 2400 IU per milliliter.

    [Description]
    Colorless clear liquid. There will be traces of gray or white precipitate that can shaken off after long-term storage.

    [Indications]
    For the prevention and treatment of tetanus in livestock

    [Usage and Dosage]
    Subcutaneous, intramuscular or intravenous injection. The amount is as follows:
    -Animal type Prevention Treatment
    -Large animals over 3 years old 6000~12000 IU 60000~300000 IU
    -Large animals under 3 years old 3000~6000 IU 50000~100000 IU
    -Sheep, Pigs, Dogs 1200~3000 IU 5000~20000 IU

    [Precautions]
    -Should prevent freezing. If precipitation occurs, shake it before use.
    -Local disinfection when injecting.
    -Vaccine bottles, utensils, and unused antibodies should be disposed in accordance to disposal regulations.
